February 5, 2003 We held our first baptisms here in Chalco and had over 70 people show up! What a blessing that was. The 12 that submitted themselves to baptism was icing on the cake! We welcomed them into the membership of our church.
Our RIBBI Fellowship has continued the prayer vigil and today our Chalco church is praying all 24 hrs. We have not broken this prayer chain for 158 consecutive days now. PTL! William is doing good in school. He's gotten to the finals in the competitions of spelling (Spanish) and poetry. We got his final grades and his entire average of the semester was 8.4 (out of 10.0). The average of his entire class was 8.5, so he's not doing bad for never having gone to Kindergarten. Erik is talking more and more Spanish every day. He has a good comprehension and is just such fun to be around. He's learned his first song in Spanish and sings it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again...in all kinds of styles, too!!!! It would drive us all completely NUTS, if it weren't so funny!!! :-) Your Fellow Soldier, Scott
