Scott’s family moved to Norway in June of 1977 and he started his formal education in Norway and studied in that culture from Kindergarten right up until Junior High School. While living in Norway, the Browns made a few trips back to the States. During one of the longer trips, Scott studied for almost a full school year in the Christian School of Temple Baptist Church, the church Dr. J. Curtis Goldman pastors in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In July of 1987, Scott and his family moved to Pompano Beach, Florida, where he studied in a Christian School for almost a full school year. Scott had to repeat the 9th grade after his family moved to Monterrey, Mexico, because of the language. Scott, along with his brother and sisters, were thrown into a Mexican private school after only been tutored for just a few weeks. It was there, in Monterrey, where Scott finished his Junior High School and High School. It wasn’t until four years after graduating High School, that Scott was able to continue his formal education. He enrolled himself in a University in Acapulco. He was now married and Senior Pastor of the Acapulco Baptist Church, but managed to attend College full time for four years. On July 5, 1999, Scott graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. Scott was the first graduate in the University’s history to receive his title through his GPA, being 9.12 (of a possible 10). He graduated with honors and was asked to be Valedictorian of his class. Scott desires to continue his formal education, getting his Master’s in Divinity through Luther Rice Seminary and eventually his Doctorate. |
