Scott has spent much of his life performing. Together with his younger brother and sisters, Scott has sung countless concerts both in Norway as well as in Mexico and the States.
Scott was an intricate part of his fathers 21 Mexican voice ensemble when he could hardly say a word in Spanish. When he was a young boy, Scott took piano lessons for several years. Unfortunately, when his family moved from Norway, the lessons discontinued and a lot of his skills were lost. However, not everything was lost, because Scott plays several songs that he has written, both in English and in Spanish. Scott loves to write songs and has written countless songs in English, Spanish, and Norwegian. The eighty-voice choir of the Kansas City Baptist Temple, in Kansas City, Missouri, has performed two of Scotts songs. He is still longing to fulfill his dream of being able to record his own album. Sometime in the near future, this page will up-dated to let you know how you can purchase one of Scotts CDs or cassettes. SPORTS Scott is heavily involved in sports and loves outdoor activities. Now, after having Majored in Physical Education, sports is like second nature to Scott. The first sport Scott was introduced to was Soccer. Even before he could walk, Scott was taught to kick a ball. So, when he finally started walking, Scott would kick anything that was round, whether it was a ball or a potato. Since soccer is one of the National sports of Norway, Scott grew up playing this sport all his life. Scott started his official training in Kindergarten, when his father would spend endless hours kicking the ball with him, teaching him how to fake, pass, dribble, head, and shoot. Eventually, when he moved to Mexico, Scott and his brother, Brian, were invited to try out for the reserve team of the professional soccer team of Monterrey. This is where they choose the players that will sit on the bench for the Rayados, on National Television. Both Scott and Brian were asked to join the team, but chose to dedicate their lives to Gods ministry instead of professional soccer. Another sport Scott grew up with was skiing. He started out on cross-country skis, but his passion was Slalom skiing. Scott started skiing when he was five years old and became a very good downhill skier. Along with his father and brother, Scott has even skied on the Alps of Austria.
Taekwondo is another one of Scotts favorite sports. Unfortunately, Scott started studying this Korean Martial Art very late in his life. Scott was 21 years old when he first started practicing Taekwondo, but in spite of his late start has obtained his 2nd Degree Black Belt, graduated two 1st Degree Black Belts under his teaching (one being his wife, Gloria), and has won several competitions both in combat and in forms. This sport is what inspired Scott to study Physical Education. Scott has grown to love all kinds of sports, especially since he studied Physical Education. In fact, one of his dreams is to some day jump out of an airplane and "sky-dive" with a parachute. DRAMA / ACTING You wont find Scotts name on the Hollywood walk of fame, but he has had major roles in a couple of big dramas. The first major drama he was in, Scott played the role of the pilot Nate Saint, one of the five missionary martyrs to the Auca Indians of Peru. The play is called "The Bridge of Blood" and Scott had many lines to memorize and performed it in English. Then, in December of 1997, Scott played the roll of the archangel Gabriel in the major drama play "The King Is Born" that the Acapulco Baptist Church presented in the International Convention Center of Acapulco. Scott, with the help of five strong men of the church, was raised to the height of 30 feet above the ground. Just recently, in March of 1999, Scott played the role of the Devil in a drama called "The Auction of Souls". The play required a sly Devil that had the appearance of a good godly man, with a bunch of Bible knowledge, but that at the end revealed himself to be Satan, always seeking to purchase the souls of men and take them to Hell with him. This play was presented in Spanish in the International Missions Conference Scotts father holds every year in Monterrey and had almost everyone in the audience with tears, many making strong decisions for Missions later in the service. The Acapulco Baptist Church, which Scott is pastoring, was responsible for the presentation of this drama. On their way to Monterrey, 800 miles North from Acapulco, which is a twenty-two hours bus ride, Scotts church suffered a head on collision. A drunk driver, who was speeding in a 3 ½ ton Ford truck, ran into Scotts rented tour bus, filled with 41 adults and 6 children from his church. This Military cadet was fooling around with his mistress (that didnt have her underwear on at the time), while transporting cocaine for a Mexican drug lord he was working for as a bodyguard. It was no wonder Satan tried so hard to stop this church from arriving at the Missions Conference and perform that great drama! |
